Sample Plan – Fate in Romeo and Juliet

As we move inexorably closer to the point of writing our final essay on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, we’ve been exploring sample structures that the boys may wish to use for their final piece.

Attached are the notes from the board today, where the students brainstormed 8 different ways Shakespeare mentioned or inferred the action of fate in his play. Next period, as well as progressing with their own chosen elements of the project, everyone will be finding a quotation to support each point in their own personal essay plans.
